OAS Assistant Secretary General Briefs CARICOM Chair on Haiti

The Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Ambassador Albert Ramdin, met on Monday with the Chair of the Caribbean Community Grenada’s Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, on the political developments in Haiti. During the meeting which took place at the Office of the Prime Minister in Grenada, Assistant Secretary General Ramdin delivered to the CARICOM Chair the Official Report of the OAS Experts who were asked to verify the first round of Haiti’s elections. Ambassador Ramdin and Prime Minister Thomas also discussed the concerns and challenges in Haiti and preparations for the second round of the elections….

Up with People program coming to Grand Bahama

The Freeport News – Host families are being sought to house some 70 members of the Up with People Program who are expected to visit the island in the next three weeks.
