Nassau, The Bahamas – The Bahamas Golf Federation (BGA) kicked off the 2011 season when over 40 golfers from around The Bahamas converged on the Cable Beach golf course on February 12 th to compete in the first event of the “Johnnie Walker Cup”. According to BGA Event Coordinator Ian Howard, “We are pleased with the turnout from both members and non-members, and look forward to a great tournament”. “The sport of golfing in The Bahamas has gotten a boost with Johnnie Walker’s full sponsorship and we expect the level of participation to grow” added Howard..
