Munich, Germany – In a press conference during the Munich Security Conference, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared her view of the current status of negotiations on a United Nations Security Council resolution on the situation in Syria. She referred to the Syrian government as a “bankrupt regime clinging to power by any means”

Grand Bahama the new home for German vessel, "Green Lady"

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – After more than a century of service, on January 14th the tall ship, Alexander Von Humboldt sailed out of her homeport of Bremerhaven, Germany for the last time and set course for the island of Grand Bahama with stops in the Canary Islands and Barbados. A large melancholy crowd of onlookers along with press, radio and television braved the cold winter morning to wave their last farewell to the “Green Lady” as she is fondly known.

OAS Electoral Observation Mission Presents Report on Saint Lucia 2011 Elections

The Chief of the Organization of American States (OAS) Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) that accompanied the November 2011 general elections in Saint Lucia, Rosina Wiltshire, presented a report today before the Permanent Council that included recommendations to update the voters’ registry and improve transparency of campaign financing, among other things.
