Prime Minister congratulates FINA world bronze medalist swimmer

Nassau, Bahamas – Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham congratulates Arianne Vanderpool-Wallace for her bronze medal win at the 7th FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships, which were held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Vanderpool -Wallace finished third in the women’s 50m free style.

The NACAC Under 23 Track & Field Championships get underway

Miramar, FLORIDA – Morning session of the 2010 NACAC Under 23 Championships results are as follows: In the Women’s 100m there is one Bahamian competitor Charlesha Lightbourne. Lightbourne finished last with a time of 12.45, in the Men’s 100m the Bahamas had two competitors; Jonathan Davis ran in heat 1 finishing with a time of 10.98, the second competitor Jamal Forbes, ran in heat 3 and finished with a time of 10.79
